If you look closely at this painting, you will see why I came up with the title.... Need a hint? Look at the blackbird on the grass, now take your eye slowly above her, see that little dot on the tree trunk?
Rijswijk is a small city, bordering on The Hague. It is very green, with many parks and trees. This time of year the fruit trees are in a lovely state of blossom, thus am inspired to paint this subject. For me the main character in this composition is the flowering tree to the left of the house. Had that not been there I most likely would not have made this or Thursday's painting.
