Sunny Winter Seascapes

Strandingang bij "DeKwartel" met zandverstuiving,
oil on canvas - 24 x 30 cm
painted on location - Tuesday 27 Jan 2015
SOLD

A cozy and inviting winters seascape yet you better have warm clothing, as the wind will certainly find its way to chill your warm blood. That didn't stop the couple you see at the waters edge, most likely too much in love to feel the cold. I was inspired by the light and the sand drift created by the hand of Nature at this beach entrance.

Kom op "Bandit" wij gaan lopen,
oil on canvas board - 30 x 40 cm
painted on location - Fri 23 Jan 2015
SOLD

But Bandit, the pet doggie of these two boys doesn't want to go for a walk on this cold winters day. She is still a puppy, and would much rather be cuddled up near the fireplace in the family living room. I couldn't agree more with Bandit, that is why I chose to stay off the open beach, were the wind factor was making it even colder! It was fine that the Sun shine made things a little warmer, and was creating this strange misty, yet soft light effect.
