Seems now, today Wed 11 September, that summer is definitely passed us by.  Last week a burst of heat, sent thousands of  Sun worshippers to this wide clean sandy beach. With sea water temperature still mild and no wind to speak of, it was really a delight to be on location this day! In fact I hung on long enough to make a second painting!  Benelux grey clouds full with moisture are gathering for to water the dry earth and bring in the colorful autumn here in The Lowlands, scenes like the ones painted here will remind  you that indeed it can be really beautiful here, het kan hier zo mooi zijn!
