Winter Seascape # 6, Sailing on a mild winters day

oil on canvas
24 x 30 cm
made on location, Sun 24/02/2008

SOLD

When this work was started, the sky above me was covered with cool grey clouds. You could see them floating across the top. A wind which was just tolerable, pleasantly stirred up the sea, causing it to give off those soft green hues, a delight to look at and paint. It wasn't easy to keep painting what I had started as the situation changed drastically when the Sun decided to make itself visible. By the time I finished the sky was completely blue, creating a totally different scene!

Alberto, you are a Paint Dog. Translation: A painter who is unafraid of the elements. My hat is off to you!
