St. Servaasbrug, Maastricht, Holland

oil on canvas,
30 x 70 cm
painted on location, Wed 24 Oct 2007

385 euro

These last few days I found myself, along with my American artist friend, Andy Wolf, getting acquainted with the many squares and endless cobbled streets of this most picturesque city of The Netherlands, Maastricht. This famous landmark bridge, with a view of that magnificent churh and the surrounding hills, which gently embrace this colorful valley, it was not difficult for me to pick this scene as the first subject painted at this location. The coloration of the trees due to the autumn season bring a pleasing flavor to the whole and played a big part in helping me with the overall color scheme of this painting.
