It wasn't the most beautiful sunny day, but the weather was warm enough, and the winds calmed down, making it suitable to spend a few hours on the lovely natural beach we are lucky to have here in The Hague. This is exactly what these young mothers decided to do. Pictured is also a man with his dog and to the right of them is a lady with a young child at the waters
edge.

It is good to be back working on this picturesque subject, (especially when the sun is shining). In the last two weeks have been out of the country on two occasions. Once to Venice, Italy and the following week to Southern France to a little village near St. Etienne.
I really enjoyed painting the sky on this canvas. Also, the composition is made interesting with the catamaran boats stationed on the beach. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the boat nearest the sea is upside down.
